The disassembly is complete! The freewheel finally broke free tonight after I went to town on it with a rubber mallet (easily the most useful tool in my chest). So, I have one more load of parts to degrease, and then I have to clean the frame, fork and wheels, and then the real fun can begin.
In other news, I managed to squeeze more life of of my broken rear fender thanks to a wood screw, a mounting bracket and some persistence (if anyone would like to point me towards a cheap drill, that would be awesome).
Also - I’m looking for a nice loud, pleasant bell - something that’ll mount nicely on the drops. I hate yelling or swerving and after hearing all the bells in europe (brrrrrrring! as opposed to ding!), I think I’d like something similar. Any suggestions, let me know.
Part cleaning tomorrow, I think.
